“Una grande delusione. 5 stelle per un hotel che ne merita 2”

The location was good, tucked into a little lane above the main road, near the triangular bar and the boat pier. The building itself was old, neglected and dim. Reception staff were rude and unhelpful, treating me like a second‑class guest just because I booked through Booking. Only the cleaning lady—whose name I don’t know—was very friendly and did her job well. A huge disappointment. I gave it 5 stars for a hotel that truly deserves 2. It’s the typical place that only works because of tourism, so it makes no effort to renovate or improve services and quality. I paid 600 euros for two nights in a shanty.

“ESPERIENZA DA NON RIFARE ASSOLUTAMENTE”

Nothing; the hotel was dated, lacked proper maintenance, and the staff was rude. Breakfast was not up to five‑star standards, with no wide selection and the food didn’t look fresh. The location was great in the center of Lacco, but that was the only positive note.

The property, though slightly dated, offers ample entertainment spaces (two outdoor pools, the thermal baths, the gym, the spa). Guests receive a bathrobe and a beach towel for pool and thermal use. The location is excellent, ideal for those without transport. Rooms were cleaned every morning. I was a bit disappointed with the meals. Breakfast didn’t live up to a five‑star hotel (eggs were missing, as noted in other reviews). The morning buffet was ordinary, and there was no coffee shop; coffee and cappuccino came from machines. The cakes and pastries on the buffet were unlabeled, so you never knew if a pastry was empty or filled with jam. Using half‑board, I can only comment on dinner: the food tasted good but the portions were small, fruit was never served after the meal, only a house‑made sweet. In the evenings, there was often a set menu with no choice: a small starter, a taste of two main courses (in one case, a spoonful of risotto and three pasta pieces), and a slice of roast with three pieces of potatoes. The staff serving breakfast and meals were inattentive and unenthusiastic.
