Le Petit Hotel

The pool felt almost private because there were hardly any other guests, but when we arrived nobody was at the entrance and we had to pull the gate open from outside, which felt like we were breaking in. We ended up wandering around the grounds trying to spot someone, saw no staff, and only after a phone call did a woman answer, who was very unfriendly. On top of that the billing got messed up on their side; it was eventually sorted out but it was annoying to have to go back three times to settle a payment because they wouldn’t take a credit card and insisted on cash. The kitchen was filthy – when I opened the oven I actually found a tray covered in mold.

The place is a stone’s throw from the town centre, but the room felt cramped and plain, with plenty of ants and bugs. We never got a clean‑up during our stay; we had to request fresh towels, and the damp ones weren’t taken away. When we told the owner about the insects, they just sprayed them away.

“Good Spot in La Fortuna”

The room was a bit small for what we paid, yet it was still a nice spot.

The location was incredibly noisy right next to the main road; it felt like I was sleeping on the street and something would hit me at any moment. The door and window seals were non‑existent. If you can survive the night, the place is pretty nice.

“Excelente estadía”

The hotel is very central with all the comforts and a lovely common area with a pool. Nothing to complain about.
