The location of the property was great because it was within walking distance/short drive to other shops if you need a sweet treat from the servo or a meal from McDonalds, however there is a diner just outside which is connected to the building if you don’t want to commute very far & I have to say, what I got was very tasty so I highly recommend trying the diner. Also I liked the whole concept of it being a self‑check in accommodation & not having to really deal with staff (no offence) some people (me) get quite a bit of anxiety when dealing with others, so this was nice. Due to the property being hidden around the corner from where you first arrive it was a little difficult to find, it appeared like a trucking stop/industrialist area.

Everything is good. Everything is good except neighbors are noisy but no problem to me.

“This maybe OK for trickiest during the winter, but not so for visitors, especially this kiwi from Asia.”

The place was clean and close to Napier Taupo Road, which matched my morning plans, but it felt very basic: just a bedroom, a bed that was fine, a TV that didn’t work, and a heater that barely warmed the room when the outside temperature was -2 °C. I never received the second door lock code by email, so as a foreign guest I had to ask the restaurant staff for help and use their phone to find the code, which they did politely. The bathroom had no heat, yet the hot water was still available.
