To get to our room we were given a key with a big cow bell; it couldn't be slipped into a handbag, so it had to be hung up at reception for all to see. The room was spacious and well equipped, with a small window overlooking the valley and a bathroom with a shower and a bathtub. The lighting was a bit poor. On one side the mattress was quite sagging and the springs creaked with the slightest movement. We chose the alternative half‑board package and enjoyed a very good menu each evening, though we didn't get to choose the dishes. For breakfast we had coffee, pastries, ham, quark, and “Maman” jam. The room service tidied the bed every day but forgot to replace the empty toilet paper roll and the tissue box.

We’re over 70, have traveled extensively across Europe, yet never experienced such thick dust layers everywhere in our room.
