Pretty much everything was spot on

The staff were all excellent and helpful, the breakfast buffet was well stocked and hot, and bar prices were good. It was a very pleasant spot next to the river. The only thing I would say is that the downstairs needed a more thorough dusting; I'm just being picky about the light covers and the side of the stairs.

Room and breakfast were fine. The only downside was the inability to adjust the water temperature from the shower.

The food at the restaurant was excellent, and the garden looked pretty.

We are returning visitors and very satisfied with the experience; good breakfast, lovely situation with the river and views of the surrounding countryside. We had a rude awakening with a fire alarm as we only got in at 0200, so we were woken at 0820 with a bit of a shock, but the owner was very apologetic and we were happy with that.
