Hilton Garden near the Domain is always a solid experience. It’s a very well‑secured hotel with perfect late‑night service and supplies. It’s convenient for events or conferences at the J.J. Pickle Research Center or other nearby venues. As I noted in July, the water is extremely soft; I never feel fully clean, which is annoying if you’re used to harder water. They soften the hard Austin water, but they probably need to remineralize a bit on the other side.

I liked the room availability. Everything else was great: the cleaning lady was very friendly and hospitable, did a superb job, and the service was truly professional.

The property was very clean, though a bit confusing because it was behind a clinic. I was unhappy that the free breakfast wasn’t actually free, and that the parking I was told was free turned out not to be.

The room was nice and spacious, but the hospitality fell short. Breakfast wasn’t included, and there was no room service; I had to go downstairs to pick up food instead of having it delivered. The bathroom toiletries needed refilling—pumping the body wash repeatedly for a small amount—and there were no complimentary essentials like toothpaste or cotton swabs. When I asked for them to be brought to my room, I was told to come downstairs. Housekeeping eventually brought them up, but only after I explained I was preparing to leave and needed everything at once.
