Only the manager’s communication was prompt. The hotel listed as Xuinji on the map turned out to be a different property, far from where I was supposed to stay. I was the sole guest that night, the driver took me to a remote spot that felt scary, smiled but didn’t understand English, and I was terrified when I realized where I was staying.

Nothing bothered me! The promised airport transfer was missing—arrived at night, no one met us, no response when we called, so we had to take a taxi ourselves and pay for it.
