The location was good, but the room I got had no chair or table, so I had to keep my stuff on the floor; the photos on the website showed a chair, table, and even a mini‑fridge. The bathroom had used soap from the previous guest, and the rooms looked very bad and different from the site photos. On the bright side, when I complained at reception they moved us to a slightly better room.

The staff were very attentive and the coffee was decent, but they first took photos of our documents, which was odd. The rooms were awful: a horrible cigarette smell, the sheets looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in ages, we worried about lying on them, the towels were faded, and the bathroom seemed like it hadn’t seen chlorine. We felt relieved only when we left.

I liked the location of the Aquarius hotel because it’s close to the bus station, and the receptionists are polite and attentive. I didn’t appreciate the rule that guests can’t go down to grab a cup of coffee for their spouse, though any guest can buy coffee, snacks, pizza, or takeout and bring it to the room. I think if it’s not allowed to bring the hotel’s breakfast to the room, it should also be forbidden to buy food from the street and take it to the room; the receptionist said eating in the room isn’t allowed. They could also contact guests to ask if there’s trash in the room so the guest can put it in the hallway for someone from the hotel to pick up. Some double beds and mattresses in this hotel are moldy, which is bad for people with allergies or other illnesses.

The price was very good, but the room, reception, and the many stairs without an elevator were disappointing.

The staff who provided good service and the breakfast were positives, but the room, bed, bathroom, pillow, towel, and shower were all very bad for the price paid.
