I love the location and the service, but the deer scare me.

The staff treated us with great courtesy, and the location was unbeatable; despite the large grounds, there were only a few cottages, giving a spacious, open feeling that I really liked. The Obon surcharge, however, was steep.

“ぐりんぱに泊まって”

Spending time surrounded by nature was wonderful. The dinner was delayed, so the barbecue didn’t start until it was dark, and then a swarm of wasps and beetles swarmed the area, covering drinks and food with insects and even getting into my hair, which was a hassle; I wish I had checked the layout more carefully, as some spots were better shielded than others.

“Only come if you are crazy for camping life”

The interior was actually cleaner and more comfortable than I expected, the meat was decent, and if you’re lucky you can see Mt. Fuji. The place is far and inconvenient, and the “two meals included” was misleading—just groceries to cook yourself; the BBQ dinner was okay, but the breakfast croissant looked awful. The shop had very few items, staff started late and finished early, which was inconvenient.
