The location was great, we received a fellucah right at the door and then wandered through the labyrinthine alleys of the island. It was a great day; the accommodations were simple and basic, exactly what we expected, and we enjoyed them a lot.

The common areas were a pigsty. You can’t rent a room surrounded by filth.

Very quiet and peaceful spot, ten minutes from the ferry, with a beautiful sunset. The local family were exceptionally kind. Highly recommend staying on Elephantine; the ferry crossing costs ten pounds.
