The hosts were warm, the food was good both at dinner and breakfast. The rooms could use a modern touch, but they were clean and everything worked; I felt comfortable.

The location is great, next to a quiet part of town, the rooms are very clean, the food is nice, service is good, and it offers excellent value for money.

I’m from Sydney, Australia, and after several trips to Switzerland I finally stayed at Hotel Des Alpes in Kandersteg. The location scores a perfect 10/10 for being close to the train station, the hotel itself gets a 9/10, the views are 9/10, the room condition 8/10, breakfast 8/10 (good value for the price), bathroom facilities 9/10, and the staff are a perfect 10/10, warm and responsive. The overall value matches what the hotel promises, so I’d recommend it for a comfortable overnight stay plus lunch and dinner. Best wishes for continued success.
