“Décevant”

There was nothing special except the kindness of a cleaning staff member I happened to see when leaving the room in the morning. The carpet in the entrance, living room and bedroom was stained, the living‑room curtains had spots, and the whole suite looked worn and old. My booking said I’d have a suite with two king beds, yet only one was usable (the other was locked behind a door), and I wasn’t told that the whole area was pedestrian‑only, so the parking was far from the suite. I would have chosen another place if I’d known about these issues.

“Great location and that is it”

The spot is great, surrounded by restaurants and small craft shops, and everything major is within walking distance. The elevator was out for three days, the stairs were narrow and dark, and on check‑in we didn’t receive the code for the second doors, so we had to pass through the adjacent restaurant to reach the stairs. Breakfast was also missing the first morning. There’s no on‑site staff, so all communication is via email or phone. The hallway carpet needs a refresh, and the AC worked only briefly, forcing us to keep windows open at night, which was an issue when the garbage truck came at 5am right under our window. It’s definitely too pricey for what it offers.

“Chices Altstadtapartment”

The apartment in Lyon’s old town was very good: modern, well‑located, with an elevator, a keypad entry, stylish furnishings, a big comfy bed, a nice view of the narrow streets, a lovely bathroom with a large shower and bathtub, and clear communication beforehand. The staff were friendly and available every day, making the stay in Lyon truly pleasant.
