“Did the job without thrills or shocks”

Good location, handy for walking into central York. All as expected, it did the job without any thrills or shocks. Car parking is expensive at £15 overnight, especially as I could have parked for free on the street outside (there's a 1 hour limit between 9am - 5pm, so in practice you can park for free on the street from 4pm - 10am, and there were plenty of spaces) but i didn't realise this until I had paid for their car park. The sausage and bread at breakfast were cheap, poor quality things

The staff were wonderful, lovely, helpful. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The room was clean and tidy, had everything needed and was within a good walking distance to points of interest. Nothing else to add.

“Spacious accommodation with parking”

We booked the family suite and it was spacious enough for 4 people. Beds were very comfortable and bedding of very good quality. Breakfast was good with a selection of options offered including vegetarian. It was great to have on‑site private parking (£15 per day). Room was a bit hot. A small ventilator fan was provided, but as summers as getting hotter we would strongly suggest to the property to consider installing air‑conditioning.

“Relaxing, hastle free and extreamly needed. Thank you.”

Fantastic location, but I would have been happier if the £15 parking charge had been stated at the early stages of the booking. Nothing to moan or complain about, it was ideal.

“It was ok”

Location was good parking always good. Could do with some TLC had a musty smell on arrival however the bedroom was clean a bit cold but they provided an electric heater which was great the shower pressure was low the bed was quite small for 2 people my husband likes his breakfast over cooked but wasn’t happy with it so didn’t eat it I think it was over priced for what it was but the stay was pleasant and the owner friendly
