“The hotel was very affordable and yukatas were comfortable. The town itself was amazing. We are well rested and happy.”
Very clean, perfect location, staff were extremely kind and helpful.
The bath was lukewarm and relaxing, and the private bath was also nice. No complaints.
- staff: after finding all local restaurants full, the kind host lady prepared us two japanese curries and brought it up to our room - thank you! - facilities: we got the key and the map to all the local onsen baths which were amazing. the room included bathing robe, onsen towel and a basket also. - room: traditional japanese style room, clean and comfortable. the shower is an onsen style, which is great. - location: great spot to see the snow monkey park and bus stops for transfers. - restaurants: we arrived around 19.00 in the evening and there were no restaurants around with availability. we have walked everywhere and were turned away. - facilities: a beautiful but old house. especially the gas heater in our room was a problem, it smelled badly and it could get quite cold in the rooms
“Experiència única”
The ryokan had a traditional style and gave access to all nine public onsens in town, plus a private and a locked private onsen—an authentic experience with comfy futons and slippers. It’s close to the Monkey Snow Park. The room had no blinds so morning light flooded in, and the bathroom smelled quite bad.
“we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the warm hospitality. If you're visiting this onsen town for the”
We spent two nights at Kaneki Hotel; the host was polite and friendly and handed us the key personally. The hotel sits in a lovely onsen town, and a key that let us visit all nine public onsens was a major draw that made the stay great. The building is old, adding to its traditional charm, but some facilities look dated. The toilet for our room was outside the room, which surprised us, and there was a faint unpleasant odor in that area.
