“Schöner Gasthof mit viel Potential.”

I stayed at a stately inn set between two lakes, just 5 minutes from the boat dock for the 5‑lake tour. The welcome was friendly and the staff run a cattle, sheep and poultry farm. A wide meadow garden stretches all the way down to the water. Breakfast was good with attentive service, the room was spacious, the bed comfortable and I slept well in a quiet setting. Unfortunately the highly praised restaurant was closed at the time, the once‑lovely reed‑roof was covered by a large tarp and probably needs repair, and having a bike or your own motor is advantageous.

“Einfache, ruhige Unterkunft, preisgünstig, tolles Frühstück und sehr gastfreundlichem Personal”

The country inn sits on a very quiet village street, a short walk from the lake and a small pier where you can sit on a bench. The inn is about 50 m off the road and surrounded by a large, beautiful, park‑like garden with a big terrace. The furnishings are no longer top‑modern but everything is clean. The bathroom was fairly new and in good, tidy condition. Breakfast surprised me with high quality, freshly baked organic bread and a nice buffet. Overall the value for money was very good. The windows, however, only seem to be able to be tipped open and the handles were difficult to turn, so the hinges should be lubricated urgently.

The location was superb, the staff friendly, and I even received a vacation apartment instead of just a room 😊. I don’t like rooms without curtains, but that’s just a personal quirk 🙈.

“Top!”

The breakfast was outstanding, and the innkeeper and staff were equally impressive. I was completely satisfied. I had already checked into three other houses with the same address before arrival, so navigation can get confusing, but that’s not the inn’s fault.
