The hotel was a nightmare: the owner was rude, the rooms were tiny and filthy, and the whole place smelled awful.
I had a very good stay.
The wifi wasn’t working.
“It was a great place to stay.”
The location in Central Aizawl was spot on, right next to the Mizoram State Archives and the Bene Menashe synagogue where I had to work. The owner, Sam, was fantastic and did everything possible to make my stay memorable, even arranging an alternate taxi late at night after the first driver fell ill. The only downside was the steep stairs that had to be climbed, which hurt my knee ligament injury, but that’s just how Aizawl’s architecture is.
It was a great place, and the host was extremely helpful. The upstairs route to the bazaar saved our legs, haha.
