Since more than 30 years I keep coming back to the Bleiche – and each stay still feels like a new, lyrical journey. The moment I arrive, the world gets a little quieter. I move through this house like a resonant work of art, drifting from one lovingly composed scene to the next and discovering new, enchanting perspectives even after all these years. But the true soul of this special place is the people who fill it with life. With their warmth, attentiveness, and almost intuitive care, they give the Bleiche that unmistakable magic that no room alone could create. My little break was once again a quiet gift. And perhaps these words are mainly an invitation to embark on this wonderful, lyrical journey yourself. Everything was as expected and some things were even better.

Beautifully situated on a spacious, partly natural setting with a landscaped garden and interesting old restored outbuildings in the Spreewald, offering versatile relaxation and several pools with various comfortable loungers. It’s nice to have families as guests, but parents should keep an eye on their children (some noise at the outdoor pool), and it’s also nice to have dogs… but not lying on the bar seating?
Everything was simply perfect!

Nothing at all – I was annoyed that the hotel dictated whether I could read my emails and the daily newspaper on my iPad or iPhone. I refuse to be patronised.
