“Good.”
The spot is ideal, right on the beach and smack in the middle of everything, making it a dream for divers; the restaurant works well for lunch and the terrace is fantastic. The upkeep, however, is subpar: the balcony door won’t stay shut without a bolt, there are no mosquito nets, the toilet clogged once, the shower door jammed and it took over an hour for maintenance to fix it; breakfast is mediocre (e.g. cheese‑free omelets, over‑ripe watermelon) except for the pancakes, which require a queue; beachfront noise is a problem and the place desperately needs updates and sound‑proofing; the porter service is disorganised, and help with buggies and luggage isn’t automatic unless you ask.
“Look for a better place if you can!”
The location is undeniably nice, by the beach, and the hilltop rooms offer a great view; breakfast was also quite good and diving classes are available (though pricey). For the price you pay, it’s absolutely not worth it: the facilities are poor, rooms are infested with insects and ants, and the worst part is that the music plays until 2 am, making it impossible to sleep even in rooms by the pool or at the top of the hills; such loud music should not be allowed in a family resort. The pools are spread out and most are far from the main area, so I’d return to Koh Tao but never stay at this resort again.
“Perfect for diving vacation”
Perfect for a diving holiday, and it’s also close to various snorkeling spots like Ao Leuk.
The room was spacious and had a pleasant balcony to sit on; the hotel gym was really good and well‑air‑conditioned.
The cleaning was good overall, but you might end up on a hill that takes a while to climb; if you don’t have a motorcycle it’s far uphill and quite tough.
