“One of the worst I’ve been in due to the heat”
It was pretty and the staff were friendly. The AC didn’t work and it stayed at 76 degrees all night.
“Convenient downtown location, but the rooms could use updating and more thorough cleaning.”
The location was the best part of the hotel. Being in downtown made it very convenient and it was close to the SAP Center and many of San Jose’s main attractions. It was easy to get around from the hotel. The cleanliness and condition of the room could definitely be improved. The room felt outdated, and the carpet looked worn and not very well maintained. Housekeeping would make the bed and replenish the amenities, but I didn’t feel that the bathroom, floors, or carpet were thoroughly cleaned during my stay

I liked that they waived the early check‑in fee and the hotel was so close to the venue, but I didn’t have washcloths.
The valet, front desk, and all the staff were incredibly welcoming, and as someone who’s stayed here for over 20 years I can see the renovations paying off—looking forward to the final reveal. It’s a solid spot, especially if you want a safe, walk‑friendly route to nearby restaurants, parks, or a night out.
