The location was lovely, the staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was great. The bathroom felt a bit worn, the sink was too small, but the shower was good, just over the bath.

“A good few days”

A cozy inn in a picturesque village; Sue and Graham were kind and helpful, and the food was delicious. No complaints, just be ready for challenging driving on local single‑track roads.

“Ideal location for a quiet stay and enjoying the delights of South Devon at a very reasonable price.”

The hosts were incredibly welcoming, from the fantastic food to helping me get my car unstuck from a track when the road was closed; the pub had a great vibe with locals chatting and making guests feel at home. The local roads can be a bit scary at times, but that’s not the hosts’ fault.

A pub with rooms in a quiet village, plenty of parking, and tasty home‑cooked food at a reasonable price. The twin room was small, though the landlord warned us beforehand; it wasn’t a problem for us, but more shelving in the bathroom would help with storage.

“Short break”

We absolutely loved our 4‑night stay; Sue and Graham were outstanding hosts and felt like new friends. The breakfast and evening meals were excellent, and the food couldn’t be faulted. It’s well worth a visit. The narrow lanes are a drawback, but that’s not the pub’s fault.
