The garden was a highlight.
The owner was incredibly friendly, and the facilities were clean and comfortable. However, while toothbrushes and towels were provided, there were no skincare items (like lotion) or pajamas, so I had to bring those myself.
The location was great.

The whole house vibe made our stay truly enjoyable. The work on the common area and the garden is marvelous. The staff were very helpful and gave us food and tips. We had a Japanese-style bath, a beautiful Japanese garden, and a small common kitchen where we could dine and have breakfast. There was also a massage chair, a TV in the dining room, and a full manga library (in Japanese). The neighborhood was quiet and a supermarket was only a 3–4 minute drive away. The photos don’t do justice to the place; it was amazing. We didn’t get a chance to use the outdoor dining area for a barbecue or set up a tent. If you’re still reading, I hope you can picture it. On the downside, the semi-detached house only has two beds on the floor, so we had to share with our two kids (Japanese style). That worked for us but might not suit everyone. The windows offer a nice view of the garden and outside, but that also means people can see you 🙈. There were no options for a breakfast with the room, which is something we would have preferred.
