We had a lovely stay at Château du Vau, greeted warmly, with a clean room that offered a wonderful view of the grounds; the outdoor pool was great for relaxing, breakfast at the hosts' dining table let us chat with other guests, and we were thrilled when they arranged a local chateau musical evening and a picnic for us—an unforgettable experience we would definitely repeat; nothing else comes to mind.

The spot is ideal, close to many notable sites in the area. The pastoral setting has a lot of charm and the castle has character: just the park and the pool are worth a visit. The room was quite rustic, there was a stale smell and it was very hot. It lacked shutters, which could have kept the heat out. The castle is an old building full of charm, but that brings drawbacks.
