“good”

The location is excellent. A bedside lamp was provided, but there was no power outlet or cord to a power outlet. Why have a bedside table and lamp that aren’t plugged in?

“総じて使い勝手が良い。無料荷物預かりが無いのが残念”

The location is right behind the church, very convenient. The bus terminal is almost a straight walk away, and the pickup bus is close at 8 or 9. The 6‑person room had clean beds with no odor. I stayed in late September, and the temperature was comfortable enough for short sleeves or a light jacket. The toilets didn’t smell at all, which is surprisingly rare, and they were clean. A free towel was provided, which is unusual. The shower was a bit worrisome at first, but it became comfortable once I got used to it, and there was no crowding. The kitchen on the 1st floor had all the necessary utensils. There are three fridges, but only two have a freezer compartment outside the door, so be careful. Overall, it’s very usable. There’s no luggage storage; when I asked, they suggested a paid locker outside the building. A 70–80 L suitcase and other items cost 1490 ISK. Towel changes happen only once every five days, so I didn’t get a change during my six‑night stay. I wish they would change them at least once every three days. Dorm rooms don’t have curtains on the beds, so if you’re concerned, bring a hook‑type pin for privacy. The towel rack also serves as a makeshift eye mask.

Location. Too few toilets/showers

We had a great stay at Hostel B47. The communication was excellent from the beginning, and they always responded very quickly to our messages. The room was clean, comfortable and exactly what we needed for our stay in Reykjavík. The location is perfect, right in the city centre, with restaurants, bars, shops and the main sights all within walking distance. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Hostel B47

“Sleepless in private room”

Available parking by the building door. A light in the room (private twin with shared bathroom) was triggered by motion outside the room. Not only it would turn on while we were sleeping, there was no switch inside the room to turn it off. The fire alarm was ringing in the morning repeatedly
