“Excellent séjour”
We had a fantastic stay at the Arcelon Hotel and were pleasantly surprised by its comfort. The room was spacious enough for two people, with plenty of room to move around and store our belongings without ever feeling cramped. The bathroom was also large and the shower was excellent, with good pressure and a powerful enough shower head to wash our hair. The room’s amenities were complete and practical: refrigerator, safe, TV, hair dryer and kettle, all of which we appreciated for making tea or coffee. Everything we needed was within reach. Check‑in and check‑out were quick and smooth. The front‑desk staff were always smiling, welcoming and ready to help. A big highlight was also the breakfast buffet: a huge variety of choices and a great selection of products. Everything was very good and the staff were again very friendly. The pool was another nice bonus, especially when it’s very hot in Barcelona after a day of walking and exploring the city. It was pleasant to be able to cool off and relax at the end of the day. Overall, we found the hotel very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The only thing that slightly disappointed us was the housekeeping service and the lack of consistency in some small details. Housekeeping was done daily and the beds were made each day. However, some items seemed to be handled unevenly. For example, the sheets were not properly tucked under the mattress. The coffee and tea refills also varied from day to day: some days everything was replenished, while on other days some items were missing. It also happened that used cups or waste were not picked up. The same happened with the glasses in the bathroom: they were changed regularly at the start of the stay, then the same glasses were left for several days until the end of the stay. These glasses are usually replaced daily. It also happened that a clean cup was left in the bathroom instead of in the coffee area of the room. These are obviously small details, and absolutely nothing prevented our stay from being comfortable: the room was clean, the towels were changed and the beds were made each day. It’s simply this lack of consistency in the service that explains why we gave a 9 instead of 10/10. For everything else, we really enjoyed our stay and recommend the hotel without hesitation.
