“Practical option for safaris”
If you’re in Ranthambore for safaris, Vidhus Lado Home is a solid choice. It’s only about 300 m from the pick‑up/drop‑off point for both canter and jeep safaris, which is great for early‑morning trips. Our first room on the top floor was not ideal—smelly like a sewer and not what we booked—yet the management swapped it for another room the next day, which we appreciated. Overall: great location for safaris, spotless rooms and bathrooms, good shower, plenty of home‑cooked vegetarian food on the all‑inclusive set menu (you can catch breakfast on your return if you miss it due to an early safari), a nice roof terrace for relaxing, quiet nights, a well‑maintained garden and pool area (we didn’t use it because of the cold), and a good room size for travelers with lots of luggage. The staff are a bit inexperienced, but the hotel is new so improvement is expected. Note that most rooms lack windows to the outside, so lighting is needed all day, though they’re ventilated via a shaft to the roof. The all‑inclusive does not include drinks at lunch or dinner, nor bottled water (unusual for AI, and we only found out at checkout). There are no choices, just a set menu. Card payment incurs a surcharge, though an ATM is within walking distance if you haven’t brought cash; we only learned about this at check‑in.
