The room was much more beautiful than we expected. The whole house was lovely, surrounded by nature. The bathroom was huge. We could wash our clothes in the free washing machine and rent bikes (they didn’t work perfectly, but still usable). Green geckos in the garden. It isn’t the fault of the property, but be prepared to be woken by roosters at 4 am (generally in La Digue but also in Mahe). Shower gel and shampoo were missing.

The room and bathroom are very spacious, with large, well‑kept outdoor areas (veranda and garden). The cleanliness of the common areas (kitchen and laundry area) could certainly be improved, and some furnishings are dated.

The building sits a bit tucked away from the main road, which I thought was a drawback but actually turns out to be great because the main street on this little island gets so much traffic, especially with everyone biking around. So it’s better that way. There are only two rooms and a shared area with a kitchen, fridge, living room, etc. We rented both rooms, so we had the whole place to ourselves. If we had taken just one, we would have had to share the common spaces with strangers and lose privacy. Only consider it if you need two rooms. The garden and morning view are WONDERS. The gardener handed us a bag of tropical fruit straight from the garden plants. The downside is it’s full of roosters and hens roaming around. It’s not a problem if you’re used to hearing them sing from 5 am, but they don’t stop until sunset.

The garden is very pretty, with a large terrace overlooking the mountains. The location is very quiet. The beds are comfortable and the air conditioning works well. It’s easy to reach the beach, shops and restaurants by bike, and the harbor isn’t far away. We took a taxi to the apartment when we arrived and walked back after. I can recommend the place. Elena
