Hotel Ávila Diró

The hotel is located 10 minutes by car from the city of Ávila, a very quiet place. To have breakfast you must book the day before. The room is spacious and has a small fridge that is fine for storing 1.5‑liter water bottles. There are two restaurants nearby: one only serves lunch (closes at 17:00) and the other serves lunch and dinner. On the first night we ate at the nearest one and found the price‑to‑quality ratio a bit high. We didn't know they charged for bread, and when we asked, the waitress was quite rude. Otherwise the food was tasty.

We were looking for a quiet spot with historic charm after a long flight and jet lag, and Avila and Avila Diro Hotel delivered: super quiet, clean, comfy, a decent gym, and not too far from Avila city if you drive. The castle walls, churches, mountains and other interesting places are nearby, so it was definitely a win! The breakfast was good but could have offered a bit more variety, especially more fruit (banana! :) ).

I liked the room, but there was no staff on site and any issue had to be dealt with via email or WhatsApp.

“Cercano a Ávila y muy cómodo”

The room was very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast and staff service were disappointing; the café was messy and the gentleman who served was calm and seated… a bad impression.

“CÓMODA Y TRANQUILA”

I couldn't have breakfast because I didn't realize the café was closed. The location was good for my stay. Overall everything was correct, comfortable, and quiet; there was nothing I didn't like.
