“It’s the host that adds the magic to this beautiful Road.”
I’ve never given a perfect 10/10 before, but this Riad made me forget about any shortcomings thanks to Marco, the host. We arrived at 10 am and were greeted with mint tea and biscuits; Marco explained the area on a map, highlighted spots to visit, and described how the medina works. Our room was ready, so we left our bags, explored the Riad, then headed out for an early lunch at a spot he’d recommended for its roof‑terrace views. Back at the Riad we lounged on the rooftop, the cushions were thick and comfy, swam in the cold pool—great for a long swim—and enjoyed an ice‑cold beer on the terrace with nuts and olives. We’d booked a 2‑hour treatment for 5 pm—Hammam and massage—in the rooms next to the pool, and it was fantastic. Afterwards we dined on the rooftop: a three‑course meal with a bottle of Moroccan wine. The first day was amazing. Marco arranged taxis, offered endless advice, and was always there to escort us home after our explorations. On our last day, before the 10 pm flight, he booked us into a country club and organized taxis to and from the airport. I truly believe Marco turned our four‑day trip to Marrakesh into something unforgettable; it’s more than a place to stay, it’s a complete experience. On the downside, we stayed in the smallest room, which is very small but still has a comfortable bed, a large bathroom, and air‑conditioning. Other rooms are noticeably larger and beautifully appointed. The Riad has plenty of seating areas—two roof terraces, a ground‑floor pool area, a reception, and a bar—so the room size isn’t a problem unless you prefer more space. The location feels a bit further from the hustle and bustle, but it’s only a 2‑minute walk. Walking through the doors feels like stepping into magic, but it’s Marco’s attention to detail that truly makes the trip special.
