The staff made me feel at home, the coffee and water were thoughtful touches, the team was very friendly, the location was great, and it was quiet. We stayed in room 2 and heard a constant hum; it wasn’t annoying during the day but was very disturbing at night. We reported it, but they couldn’t give an explanation.

The décor feels quirky and interesting, preserving many historic details of the building, and the bed is huge and comfy. The spot is perfect, right in town’s centre, within walking distance to shops, sights and restaurants, and the honesty bar is a nice touch. However, letting dogs stay in an old hotel with poor soundproofing isn’t acceptable, especially when they bark, and the bathroom could use brighter lighting.
