It was very quiet and idyllic, with super friendly people and a family‑like atmosphere that’s especially good with kids. Everything within 10‑30 minutes by car is easily reachable, and we’ll definitely return. The emphasis on horseback riding is worth mentioning. The mattresses and equipment were a bit lacking, but that didn’t bother us much.

The tranquil, rural setting close to beautiful beaches, plus the many play areas and animals on the fenced grounds, was great. You can walk to the nearest beach after a long stroll, and the Hochufer trail and Märchenwald are just a few meters away. The hosts were very nice, and it was convenient to rent bikes for a small fee. One evening we had a campfire with stick bread, and older kids got a soccer game organized. Riders can take lessons or go on rides right there. The beds were comfortable. The price‑value ratio through Booking felt unfair; we stayed in the small “Elster” flat under the roof, paying €1,240 for a week in peak season for a modest unit for up to four people. There was no dishwasher, no hair dryer, the dining table was tiny, and a single narrow wardrobe held all four people’s clothes, forcing me to keep my suitcase in the room. The smaller bedroom with a bunk bed is only reachable through the other bedroom. When we arrived, we found eight spiders in the flat, and new ones kept appearing—typical rural life.
