Amazing property with a sense of history while keeping modern luxuries. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Definitely do dinner – the food is amazing from Pascal. Definitely will be back and have already told friends about this gem. Naz and Maureen

It’s an amazing place to stay, we had dinner one night and enjoyed the food, wine choice and experience. The hosts are charming to meet. They cook a lot of the food (bread, pastries) themselves or locally source plus explain where it comes from. The cider farm is a must. We didn’t read the instructions and didn’t spot you check in after 5 pm. Wasn’t a problem as we left our cases by the door and went and had a drink in a local restaurant which was amazing. The hosts have an incredible building but they should use the front for parking as it’s such a waste not to.

Characterful old building. The suite bathroom in the turret was charming. The owner has 4 dogs in the property, at least two of which are menacing and need to be on leashes. When I came downstairs 30 mins earlier than expected for breakfast the dogs were loose and the owner had to leap out to prevent them from attacking me. In our suite there is only a flimsy curtain between bed and bathroom. When I went downstairs to ask for access to a more private WC the ill‑mannered and bad‑tempered owner just said “no” without any apology. The food is just about OK. There is no choice of wine and what is provided is of low quality. The owner’s wife does her best to be helpful and courteous and is clearly embarrassed about the dogs. This place needs to improve or close.
