The place and its view were nice, and the staff were friendly, but they couldn’t sort out the dinner. We expected dinner to be included, but it didn’t happen because of a mistake; they offered us lunch instead, which we didn’t want—we had specifically booked and paid for dinner. That was a drawback, and the TV didn’t work in our room. The beds creaked a lot, and so did the floor.

Historic, atmospheric, and immersive in a bygone era—yet Brussels is right on your doorstep! This is a true gem at a price that’s simply unbeatable. If you want to soak in history, enjoy opulence, and dine wonderfully, this place is truly paradisiacal and unrivaled. Seriously, nothing. I could say I’d like a gym and a swimming pool, but given the pricing, where else can you stay in a splendid castle setting for such a reasonable rate?

The breakfast, which cost an extra €25 per person, was truly insufficient for a castle setting and that price; it felt like a bit of a let‑down.

The location and outdoor space were good, but the cleanliness was terrible— the bathroom was filthy, and the shower base was disgusting and needed a deep clean.
