The location is unbeatable for exploring nearby villages, and the free bikes are a nice bonus. The room is spacious and well decorated, and the hotel staff are very friendly. The only downside is the food at the restaurant.

The space feels airy, it’s not crowded or noisy, and everything is clean with enthusiastic staff. The only issue is that the bed feels a bit small.

The only draw of this hotel is its location at the entrance of Mai Chau, which honestly isn’t worth the trip. Other accommodations in the area are even worse, except for the very expensive MAI CHAU Lodge. Mai Chau itself is dirty and noisy, so it’s better to stay in Pu Luong to see the rice paddies that are scarce here. The toilets and shower are unhygienic; I asked for them to be cleaned. The breakfast is far below what one normally finds in Vietnam, even in lower‑tier hotels. The condition of the rental bikes is unacceptable: the wheels are covered, the brakes fail, etc.

The staff are excellent and very kind. Note that the little lake and view are no longer like the photos, as Mai Chau is changing rapidly. The hotel sits next to the main road, and many new buildings are being constructed around it.
