I stayed close to the station, which was convenient, but the hotel was literally on the tracks and the smell of a train platform filled the room. The noise from the rails was constant, and you had to walk through the station's entrance gate before you could enter the hotel.

The staff were amazing, and the location is perfect for early‑morning Machu Picchu trips because you can leave the hotel and catch a train without a lot of travel. The cakes at the connecting coffee shop are incredibly delicious, and the town itself is special and full of history; Watya Restaurant nearby is very nice. The hotel sits inside the train station, so it gets very noisy both late and early. Breakfast quality could have been better, and we had a few issues with the hotel that were rare, but the staff were kind, gracious, and worked hard to resolve them.

The location is great – it’s inside the train station, so if you take the train it’s the most practical because you can wait at the hotel reception. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was adequate.

The hotel is magnificent, with good beds and a great bathroom. The lounge area is nice, and breakfast is wonderful, plus the location inside the station is excellent. The hotel’s restaurant for dinner is also incredible, making for a great experience. Everything was excellent!
