I picked this place because it seemed close to Nagoya Station, and the streets of Nagano were even more charming than I imagined. Staying in the main building was a bit disappointing, yet the annex was very clean and spacious. I especially liked the dimmable lights, the large shelf near the power outlet, the roll‑screen, and the hangers on each bed—things that really stood out compared to other places I've stayed. I only stayed one night and only checked in, so next time I want to explore the area more slowly.

The bathrooms are very clean and well maintained, and the staff are friendly. In the hot summer I had a nice big beer (800 ml?) at the on‑site bistro with a view of the quiet, covered shopping street in the afternoon. As a typical guesthouse it feels a bit cramped and occasionally a bit noisy, and the value for my private room was borderline; I definitely wouldn't pay more.

The location is great, not far from the subway and many food and beverage options in the local old shopping arcade. The building is in a real aged condition with a wooden structure.
