The property looked nice, cozy, and comfortable, and the vibe was right, but the hosts were not very interactive, the volunteers didn’t respond well at first, and when we asked about activities they said those only happen during the season.

I spent a week at Hostel Stories in Varkala and it was a solid experience. The relaxed vibe and convenient spot made exploring easy, and Vishal stayed friendly and helpful all the way. The kitchen was clean and well kept, so cooking was a breeze. All in all, it felt like a comfy place for a few days or longer, and I’d recommend it if you want a simple, clean, welcoming spot in Varkala.
