“Just to pass the night”
The place sits about a 15‑minute walk from Ikebukuro Station, and the staff tried to give directions in broken English, which was better than other spots. The bed had a power socket, but don’t expect a USB port or cables—bring your own. No one spoke English, which could be an issue since they seemed unsure who made the reservation. The accommodation is just for sleeping, no shared shower, and the thin walls and lack of a toilet seat heater are noticeable. If you’re looking for a cheaper option, a hostel might be better, or a decent hotel with breakfast for a slightly higher price a bit farther away.
