What I liked most about the stay was when I handed back the key and left. I didn’t like at all having a 24‑hour shop right under the window, I didn’t like the shared bathroom, I didn’t like the size of the room, I didn’t like the area, too many night‑time businesses, I didn’t like the pillow, it was harder than the granite the Mordor tower was built from.

The place was clean but basic, and the walk to the Yumbo centre was perfect—10 minutes, passing Burger King. The hostel itself sits over a 24‑hour mini‑market. The opposite side had cafes, restaurants, and kebab shops, 4 minutes to Burger King and 10 to Yumbo. The beach was a 20‑30 minute walk, and once there you’d find lovely bars and all‑you‑can‑eat Chinese restaurants, plus mini‑markets.

The staff were great, the place is basic but very clean and tidy and the price is affordable. A fan in each room would be a great addition
