The spot is handy, right next to Hamamatsu train station with a bunch of restaurants and shops around. The room was clean and roomy, and the breakfast had a good healthy spread.

I was close to the Shinkansen ticket gate, the bed was firm, and the breakfast had curry and oden that were delicious. The view from the window was just a wall, and the duvet and sheets were pulled up but the duvet disappeared quickly, leaving only the duvet; I wish they’d cover the bedding better.

The location was great right at Hamamatsu Station and the bus terminal, with shopping malls right around. Our room was right next to the “staff elevator” which was very loud. Across from the room were large ventilation units of a building. There was no English‑speaking staff. Breakfast offered no vegan or vegetarian options and was very one‑dimensional. The sofa was stained, the bedding was patched. New towels were left at the door or the old ones weren’t taken away. Trash wasn’t taken out. The bathroom was tiny.
