The place is well‑situated, the building looks solid, and the facilities are decent. The furniture feels like a 1‑ or 2‑star hotel, the beds are extremely uncomfortable, and no one else in the reviews mentioned this—yet I ended up with a bad room.

The host is extremely friendly and helpful. The downside is the mosquitoes; bring your own spray because the place offers little protection.

The location and staff are great. Inside the room, the beds could be larger and more comfortable, and the breakfast could offer more variety.

The room was clean and spacious enough for one night, the staff were very friendly, and the restaurant food was also excellent. Finding the Berca pension was a hassle since it’s only attached to the restaurant and its name isn’t listed anywhere.

We stayed next to a larger hotel that has a restaurant and bar, and it was nice that the bar stayed open all night while we celebrated Finland’s win in the ice‑hockey world championship. Breakfast was rather limited and not as good as other similar places (pensions) we stayed at during our road trip through Romania.
