The volcano was just a stone's throw away, and the breakfast grab‑and‑go was a lifesaver. But the bathroom was a mess, mirror cracked, and the parents' bed felt like a mattress on a bad foundation—no sheets for the kids either. On top of that, there was no on‑site dining and the restaurants shut down at 6 pm.

“Decepción”

The view was breathtaking, but the place was a nightmare. The sink was filthy, the bed had no covers so we had to stretch the only sheet over the mattress and use a stinky blanket that smelled like mildew; the duvet was stained and the seams were pale. They didn't provide an extra blanket even though it's one of the coldest, wind‑y, rainy spots in the country. The shower head was too big, splashing water everywhere and leaving a puddle that could be dangerous.

I liked how friendly the staff were and the place was great for everyone. The only gripe was the bathroom—no door, so water splashed everywhere.

After catching the sunset we headed here for the night and the quiet was exactly what we needed. The place is peaceful, but you’ll quickly discover there’s hardly any food nearby and the few restaurants that are close shut early.
