“I left after a couple hours”
I recently stayed at a hotel that had a great location and friendly staff, but unfortunately, the room conditions were a major letdown. The nonsmoking room I was given had an overwhelming stench of cigarette smoke, and upon closer inspection, I found roaches, dirty linens with hair, and a bathtub with dead bugs and hair. The general state of the room was quite poor, which made it hard to enjoy my stay despite the hotel's other redeeming qualities.
I had a bit of a mixed experience at this hotel. When I booked, I was told that my check-in time was approved for 12 pm, but when I arrived, the hotel staff said they couldn't accommodate that, citing a mistake on the booking platform's part. I ended up checking into a different hotel across the street, the Super 8, at 11 am, and it turned out to be an excellent choice.

I appreciated that the hotel was conveniently located just off the freeway, making it easy to access. Unfortunately, the hotel's outdated condition and lack of thoughtful amenities, such as carpeted floors that would be kinder to pets' paws, a stopper for the bathroom sink, and basic linens like hand towels and washcloths, made our stay less than ideal.
I was really looking forward to a peaceful stay at this hotel, but unfortunately, it was disrupted by the constant noise from the restaurants near the motel. Despite the noise, the hotel itself was clean and well-maintained, which was a nice surprise. However, the noise was a major issue, and I found it difficult to get a good night's sleep.
