The staff were very helpful and kind, keeping an eye on our belongings while we explored Seoul. The photos on the website were accurate, and the price was fair. However, the mosquito net on the window wasn’t attached properly, there was a constant low pulsating buzz coming from the bathroom, and the white walls with grey accents made the room feel a bit like a hospital or prison.

The location is good. The infrastructure is shabby.

The location, cleanliness, staff, and management were all very supportive. However, a personal kettle in the room would be a welcome addition.

The price is cheap, it’s close to the metro station, and there are staff who speak English. The overall cleanliness was terrible – I was assigned to the B1 floor, the environment was very old and dirty. The main door was old and jammed when opening, and the lock was hard to open. Because it’s in the basement with no windows, opening the door let in a strong sour smell that required a tabletop air freshener and airing the room. The bathroom was filthy; the towel rack, tap, shower, and other fixtures were all rusted and looked very unclean, so I didn’t dare use them. The room only had a power outlet at the foot of the bed, and on the first night the phone and external charger didn’t charge fully all night – the charger only filled one slot. Using a hair dryer or other appliances was only possible at the foot of the bed, which was inconvenient. When I opened the blanket, the sheets were torn. There was a bottle of insecticide on the table, and although I didn’t see insects in the first two days, I did see occasional mosquitoes or flies. The hotel offered a hair dryer, but I didn’t feel safe using it. Basement rooms are old and soundproofing is poor; the neighbor’s voice could be heard even when they spoke softly, and sometimes you could hear the heavy clanging of door locks. The room had no refrigerator; the shared fridge on B2 was messy and untidy. The only chair was a round plastic one without a back, so I couldn’t lean against the wall, making the overall comfort very low. Finally, although the hotel is close to Exit 4 of Xinjian Station, you have to climb a slope to reach it, and there is no elevator, so it’s not very convenient for travelers with heavy luggage. Overall, this hotel is only suitable for those who don’t care about cleanliness, are looking for cheap prices, or just need a quick stopover.
