The scenery around the cottage is just breathtaking—water, deck, dock, all of it. The little house itself is cute and there are plenty of spots to hang out with friends or family. We spent most of our time just soaking in the view and it was pure enjoyment.

Breakfast was tasty and the whole place feels like a peaceful countryside retreat. The staff greeted us warmly, making the start of the day feel extra nice.

We drove up from Illinois looking for a place where our daughter could try horseback riding, and Windswept on the Trent turned out to be a hidden gem worth the detour. The coach house fit us perfectly; I was nervous about the pull‑out sofa but it was as comfortable as a regular bed. Elaine was incredibly friendly, even inviting us to join her friends for dinner and a movie night with the kids.

The property is gorgeous, with really unique buildings that set a relaxed tone for the whole stay. Breakfast was outstanding and the view that came with it made every morning feel special.
