The location is gorgeous, the rooms are spacious, the staff friendly, and the breakfast surprisingly generous for Italy. The minibar stops working once you leave the room, so nothing stays chilled, and the mattresses are very firm—though that’s a matter of taste, and two wool blankets under the sheet made it manageable.

Outstanding and culturally significant, with a lovely variety of local offerings that were plentiful—couldn’t have asked for more. Nothing to complain about.

The location and the old mill property were great, but the restaurant’s prices were quite steep despite the generally good quality, and the first‑course pasta didn’t match the menu ingredients.
