“Bed bugs and an unacceptable response”
We had a nightmare stay: the first night a bed bug landed on our bed, and soon dozens more emerged from the headboard, crawling onto pillows and sheets until almost dawn. I personally killed over 30 bugs, some with blood, and the bedding was covered in stains, which I showed to the staff. My wife was bitten, woke up with redness and swelling, and couldn’t sleep, so she ended up spending the night in the car. I was also preparing for an important race the next day, so the sleepless night, stress, and anxiety really threw us off. The hotel only changed our room and washed three loads of our clothes, offering no real compensation, explanation, or effort to fix the damage. When we complained, they suggested we might have brought the bugs in, citing that previous guests hadn’t reported an issue—a ridiculous accusation after we’d just endured a night like ours. We paid for a clean, safe place to sleep, but instead we spent the night killing bugs, dealing with bites, sleeping in a car, and worrying about our health and belongings. The stay ruined our trip and the race. If you’re considering this place, think twice: bed bugs are not a minor inconvenience; they’re a serious hygiene problem that can follow you home and jeopardize your health and future travel. We can’t recommend it.
