Taiwanese hotels are just like this. The air‑conditioner switch was broken, the shower head in the bathroom didn’t work, and after spending the first night I abandoned the second night and drove straight back from Hsinchu to Kaohsiung.

“離火車站近，雖然有點歷史，但維持很乾淨，整體看起來還不錯。服務人員態度親切、服務好，早餐豐富，我們連住四天，每天早餐的菜色也有變化，蠻用心的。房間冷氣強，浴室問題若改善，我還蠻推薦這家飯店”

The place was large and the space felt comfortable, but the bathroom drain and the sink drain both clogged and emptied very slowly, which was inconvenient and left a bad impression. I reported the drainage issue to the front desk and they fixed it the next day, improving the bathroom drain, though it then made the sink drain perform poorly.
