The White House hotel is situated in a quiet, green residential area of Prague, 15 minutes from the historic centre by metro. It features an indoor pool and fitness centre, free of charge. Rooms have private bathrooms, satellite TVs, and free Wi-Fi. A buffet breakfast and drinks are served in the on-site restaurant. Public transport is nearby, with a public outdoor pool and tennis courts a short metro ride away.

The front desk staff were friendly, clear, and honest, and the room was spotless with comfy beds; the breakfast attendant was also pleasant. However, the hotel is very far from the Metro, so having a car is advisable. The shower’s handheld sprayer was poorly designed: the water jets fast but the stream is too high and cannot be adjusted. We won’t return because of the distance alone. The recommended restaurant, Turnovská pivnice, down the hill, needs a staff overhaul—judgmental and absurd employees, and prices are steep.

The location is good and the views are beautiful, but the hotel feels like it stopped evolving about 20 years ago, giving it a 5.0/10.

We booked emergency accommodation in Prague at the last minute during a busy weekend, and it met the basic need of “a place to sleep.” The room had a sign about daily cleaning, and the housekeeper tried to enter after the first night even though we were still there. Apart from that, no issues with the white pillows, which had fibers and human hair. The bed was labeled “married” but was actually two beds with a wide wooden frame attached, leaving a 10‑centimeter gap between them. In the bathroom, a sewer smell lingered, and after a few minutes in the shower a drainage problem became obvious, taking an hour to clear. In the morning, the smell of fried eggs from breakfast woke us, indicating poor ventilation.

We chose this hotel because it was close to Motol, and it was basically a 19th‑century building. We slept well, the breakfast was generous, and the pool was small but usable until 10 pm. The bed was comfortable, though we wanted a proper double bed; there was a 10 cm gap between mattresses. The hotel has about five parking spaces that must be reserved, and parking in the area is practically impossible. Overall, nothing negative.
