The place has a lot of character, like stepping back in time in a pleasant way, though there is some wear and tear. The owner was friendly and a pleasure to chat with. The bathroom blinds were broken, and the blackout curtains were hard to close completely.

The room was spacious enough to fit our XL dog crate with extra room to spare, and an extra blanket was provided, which I appreciate with the AC. The bed was comfortable. I had emailed the property directly to confirm that I had a dog, but apparently an AI answered and didn’t inform them, so we ended up in a room not meant for dog owners, which caused extra cleaning and the property failed to tell me about the additional dog fee.

The host welcomed us warmly and gave good restaurant recommendations. The room was very clean and had a very retro 70s style. It felt like real America!

The room felt spacious, with the wooden paneling, bed linens and layout all looking great, plus there were two chairs at the table; the building shows its age, but out of all the stops on my 16‑day trip this motel was my favorite.
