Klosterherberge

The central spot and a lovely room in an old building, lovingly decorated, are highlights. The blinds on the window only serve as a view blocker; the slats can’t be closed to darken the room, so it stays pretty bright at night. The bike rack by the entrance is unfortunately only reachable by stairs.

The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms clean and nice and the location was excellent. /

The historic spot is charming and well kept, and the shared kitchen makes it a great place for several couples to stay in separate rooms and mingle. One of the three rooms we rented had blinds that didn’t work; the bell tower’s chimes are normal for an old monastery, so bring ear plugs if you need sleep.

“Gepasst”

I was happy with the location and the kitchen was well equipped, but it was a bit annoying that I had to go through the hallway to reach the bathroom from my room. I had expected a private bathroom that I could access directly from my room, and as a solo traveler I prefer to lock the door at night. Thankfully, no other guests were around.

“Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt absolut zu empfehlen.”

The place is absolutely central and I had a gorgeous room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There wasn’t a breakfast buffet, but the small kitchen was nicely set up and there was a bakery nearby with a good breakfast selection.
